NIAS Press is NIAS Press is a pocket-sized academic press based in Copenhagen and operating around the world.

We publish books (mainly monographs, but also some edited volumes) in all fields of Asian Studies, focusing mainly on the social sciences and history, particularly research dealing with contemporary East and Southeast Asia. For more details, see our profile page.

Many established scholars have published with us, and we pride ourselves on the large number of young post-docs that we have helped to get their first major work into print.

We warmly welcome your book proposal.

"I was very lucky to work with the wonderful people at NIAS Press on my first academic monograph. Everyone in the team was so helpful and efficient, and there was an impressive dedication to good scholarship and meticulous attention to detail. The team gave me continuous support throughout, from preparing the manuscript to post-publication publicity. I highly recommend NIAS Press for scholars working in the field of Asian Studies, young and experienced alike."
