NIAS Studies in Asian Topics

This series presents edited volumes that showcase innovative research within the social sciences and history. Most volumes deal with East or Southeast Asia.

Key issues include political change; peace and conflict; gender and power; development, political and socio-economic change; identity formation; environmental change; and recent Asian history.

It is a key requirement for publication in this series that books have been actively edited to form a cohesive whole in terms of content, purpose and form.

The series is commissioned by NIAS Press’ Editor-in-Chief Gerald Jackson.
