Irmeli Perho is Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Helsinki. Earlier lecturing in Arabic at Aarhus University, Denmark, until recently she worked as a researcher at the Royal Library in Copenhagen. She is the author of two multi-volume Catalogues of Arabic Manuscripts, also published by NIAS Press in the COMDC series.

This two-volume work describes three collections of Persian manuscripts and lithographic prints at the Royal Library, Copenhagen – in total, 267 manuscripts and lithographs dating from the 15th to the 20th century CE. Designed especially as an essential source of reference for scholars working in all aspects of manuscript studies, the catalogue includes over 500 full-page illustrations (some in colour) that help identify each of the manuscripts.

Codices Arabici Arthur Christenseniani

This is the second volume cataloguing the Islamic material of the Royal Library, Copenhagen, and describes 94 manuscripts and 3 lithographed prints acquired early last century. Most items date from the 19th century, with the oldest dated to 910 AH (1504 CE).
