Here you can search our entire book database. That means that if you search, for instance, for the word ‘Asia’, the search result will include all books that have this word in the title, the subtitle, the book description, or anywhere else in the various data we keep about our books.
Searches are not case sensitive, so a search for ‘asia’ gives the same result as a search for ‘Asia’.
You cannot truncate search words but can only search on whole words. That means a search for ‘Asia’ will fail to show any book records that do not contain this exact word, even though they might contain the word ‘Pan-Asia’ or ‘Asian’.
You can refine your search by using AND and OR (not necessarily written in capitals). Thus, you can narrow your search by specifying that you are only interested in books containing the words ‘Asia AND history’, or you can widen your search by looking for books with the words ‘Asia OR Asian’ (not recommended, though, as that search would result in an answer listing almost every book we have ever published).
Among the information you can search on is also author name and bibliographic details. Thus, you could search for ‘Smith AND 2008’ to see if Prof. Smith published anything with us that year, or you can search for ‘history AND 2008’ to find out what is new in your field, or indeed search for ‘history AND.paperback’ if your budget is limited.
The search results are shown in alphabetical order.
